Since I occasionally play computer games, having to upgrade your computer hardware is needed once in a while.. And with all the upcomming titles (Battlefield 3, Star Wars The Old Republic, Diablo III aso..) it was about time to upgrade my now approx 4 year old hardware with some new pieces!
| Part | Name |
|---|---|
| CPU | Intel Core2Quad 2.4ghz (Q6600) |
| RAM | 7.5 GB Corsair (8GB, but some trashed..) |
| GFX | ASUS nVidia GeForce 8800 GT |
| HDD | 2x 320gb SATA II HDD in RAID0 |
| Add. Storage | 3x 1TB SATA II HDD |
So, from a gamers perspective it was about time!
| Part | Name |
|---|---|
| CPU | Intel Core i7 2600k, quad core running at 3.4ghz |
| RAM | 16gb Corsair Vengeance |
| GFX | ASUS nVidia GeForce GTX 570 |
| HDD | 3x 300gb SATA II in RAID0 |
| Add. Storage | 3x 1TB SATA II HDD |
This is indeed quite an upgrade! So far I have run Mafia II and World of Warcraft on MAXIMUM settings, without any lag.The new Battlefield 3 beta, everything is on max settings, besides Anti Aliasing. and it runs smooth!
